The 2020 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) will not only be virtual but have some live audience as well.

This was revealed by CEO of Charterhouse, Theresa Ayoade on Joy FM.

She stated that the awards event expected to take place in August will have a live audience.

She disclosed the venue for the event will host about 100 people while observing the needed health protocols including social distancing.

This set of audience will include artists who will perform and other nominated acts.

Theresa Ayoade explained that the 2020 VGMA has delayed because Charterhouse was waiting for restrictions to be eased.

“We just needed the government restrictions to ease a little bit, so we could have a few more people at the event because we couldn’t just work with 20 people”, she said.

She also assured that her team has put together a plan that will help them run a successful show.

“The event that will be about 80% virtual and 20% live. We will have some live performances and hope we have the artistes present pick up their awards,” she added.

The 2019 VGMA was ended abruptly due to a chaos started by Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.
