A road traffic accident at Juaso Three-Lane, near NEXT BON Gas along the Kumasi-Accra Highway, has claimed three lives and left fifteen others injured.
The collision occurred on Monday, July 13, 2026, at approximately 9:39 a.m., involving a Shackman F3000 truck (registration GN9673-25) loaded with clinker and a Dongfeng Van (registration GM4002-26).
According to rescue officials, three persons, two males and one female, were pronounced dead at the scene. The remaining fifteen occupants sustained injuries of varying severity.

A joint rescue team from the Konongo-Odumase and Juaso Fire Stations responded to the emergency call and recovered the bodies of the deceased, which were handed over to the Juaso Police.

However, the two drivers and the thirteen other injured persons had already been rescued by bystanders and transported to Juaso Government Hospital before the arrival of the crew.

The accident caused partial damage to the cowl of the Shackman truck, while the Dongfeng Van suffered extensive damage to its windscreen and engine compartment.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
