Sensational Ghanaian singer and songwriter, Martin King Arthur, known as Kofi Kinaata has revealed, his lyrics are inspired by social trends.
Kinaata who is known for his exceptional lyrics in his songs made this known when he visited Ghana’s Ambassador to the United States, Dr Barfuor Adjei-Barwah at the Ghanaian Embassy in Washington DC on Friday, 7 February 2020.
Revealing his inspiration, the ‘Things fall apart’ hitmaker said: “Addressing social issues through contemporary music is not the most popular thing to do as an artist. In fact, you risk losing fans who want to dance and enjoy. But I have resolved to do it because it comes from a deep place in my heart.”
The ambassador on his end commended the singer for making songs that focus on pushing the social discourse on pertinent issues and spur critical thinking.
