Barclays Bank Ghana has officially made the switch to become Absa Bank Ghana, effective today the 10th of February, 2020.
The bank successfully made the switch after months of creating awareness and sensitizing customers and Ghanaians as a whole, on the re-branding.
Absa Ghana combines strong expertise, deep local insight and vast product knowledge to bring the best of banking to customers and clients.
Speaking at the event to officially launch Absa Ghana, the board Chairman of Absa Ghana Limited, Mr Charles Alexander Cofie, said:
“Our transformational journey from Barclays Ghana to Absa Ghana has been quite long. It’s been painstakingly meticulous, but at the same time, it’s been enjoyable. It’s been invigorating, it’s been rewarding.”
The Vice- President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Dr Bawumia also speaking at the rebranding, said:
“Today, Ghana together with Absa Ghana, is making history. This year 2020 is the doing of a new decade and refreshed beginning of Absa Ghana and we are proud to be part of this beginning.”
