Ghanaian Gospel singer, Celestine Donkor has disclosed that at a point she lost hope in ever winning an award due to past disappointments.
The “Agbebolo” hitmaker who won big at the just ended Ghana National Gospel Awards said she was not expecting to win the awards.
Speaking in an interview on 3FM, Celestine Donkor noted that picking up 4 awards at the National Gospel Music Awards came as a huge surprise to her.
“Sincerely, I have not really had a big eye for awards because many times in the past, it comes up and I go home empty-handed so I was not really into it. So this came as a really big surprise for me,” she said.
Celestine bagged four awards at the National Gospel Music Awards Night, including Song of the Year and Album of the Year.
According to her, her hit song, “Agbebolo” has opened doors for her including international gigs.
