Camera executives of Excellence in Broadcasting’s (EIB) TV station, GHOne this morning embarked on a strike, causing the station to go off air.
According to reports, the cameramen showed up to work today but refused to cover the station’s breakfast show and other programs.

The Chief Executive of EIB, Kwabena Anokye Adisi, better known as Bola Ray, is said to have immediately gone into a meeting with the employees to help resolve the matter.
Theghanareport.com reports that the strike action by the cameramen, is in protest of the delay in payment of their salary. It claims some of these employees are owed as much as six months worth of salary.

The EIB Network has over the past few years been facing some financial challenges, hence affecting the payment of salaries of their employees.
This has caused the best of their staff, including Berla Mundi and Anita Akuffo to jump ship and join Media General group, whilst others simply resigned.
However, this is the first time employees of the company have boycotted work despite earlier threats to do so.
