President of the Creative Arts Council, Mark Okraku Mantey says government will not fund the construction of an ultra-modern music studio to be managed by the council.
Mark Okraku Mantey makes this comment in response to claims that the council has been given money for the project.
President of the Creative Arts Council said the project will be privately funded with the support of entrepreneurs and aid from some donor agencies.
Mark Okraku Mantey told the public in an address on Hitz FM to disregard rumors that government had provided money for the construction of the ultra-modern music studio
‘’I never said that I was given an amount of money to build a studio. Do you know how Gyankromah did what she has done? She was able to get some funds from donor agencies, entrepreneurs in the country who believe in what you are doing. I didn’t say I was going to pick the money from government’’, he said.
‘’There are entrepreneurs even in the party who if you pitch and they get into your concept and they believe in it (will fund it)’’, he continued.
In 2018 Mark Okraku Mantey said his council will supervise the construction of an ultra-modern studio for the industry as part of promises by the New Patriotic Party.
Later, the president of the Creative Arts Council said his outfit was in the process of acquiring a land at the outskirt of Accra to construct the studio.
