Ghanaian actor, Eddie Nartey has refuted claim that celebrities signed by Zylofon Media caused the collapse of Menzgold.
Menzgold, through it’s media outlet, Zylofon Media, signed the likes of Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Kumi Guitar, Joyce Blessing, Bibi Bright, Eddie Nartey and many others.
These celebrities were signed with huge sums of monies and given cars and houses.
Reports suggest that these signees brought little profit to the media organization after they were brought on board.
However, speaking in an interview with Delay, Eddie Nartey refuted the claim and mentioned that Zylofon and Menzgold were treated as separate entities.
”I don’t think so. I don’t think so at all. For me I was working in Zylofon as a worker…Zylofon has got nothing to do with Menzgold”, he stated.
Zylofon Media became dormant after Menzgold, belonging to Nana Appiah Mensah, was shut down by government in 2018.
Many of the aggrieved customers of Menzgold blamed the huge sums of monies spent on these celebrities as cause for the collapse of the gold dealership firm.
