Rapper Kwame Nsiah-Apau, popularly known as Okyeame Kwame, says he regrets spending three years in America when he visited the country for the first time.
The ‘Made In Ghana’ singer stressed that the decision he took was a very stupid one at that time.
Speaking to some fans at the Hilynkscom at Papa’s Pizza in Accra, Okyeame Kwame said he had the opportunity to travel to the United States of America with Daddy Lumba for a World Tour following the release of their song ‘M’asan Aba’.
“One thing that I did that I thought was really stupid…was after I released M’asan Aba we got the opportunity to travel with Daddy Lumba to go to America for a world tour and I didn’t come back”, he recounted.
The rapper said his aim was to stay and study in the United States because he had a girlfriend there.
Okyeame Kwame revealed that life in America was difficult and he was forced to wash dishes in a restaurant to survive.
The rapper added that after several struggles, he decided to return to Ghana to continue his music career.
