Vudumane abandoned his music career in Ghana after winning US visa lottery

Hiplife artiste Vudumane, formerly known as Nyankonton has revealed that he had to abandon his music career in Ghana after winning a visa lottery.

In 2005, Nyankonton released a song titled ‘Nyankonton’ featuring Kwabena Kwabena and received massive airplay.

Just when his music career was about to blossom with the hit song, the rapper won a U.S visa lottery. 

Vudumane in an interview with Hitz FM narrated how he had to abandon his music career to get a US Green Card.

‘I did American Visa Lottery. Fortunately I won. So when I won I went for an interview and they gave it to me. They gave me six months to leave the country (Ghana)’,

‘I am like damn, I am just about to start my music and everything is looking real good. Now I have to go to America’, he recounted.

Vudumane also reveals that after getting his Green Card in the U.S, he frequented Ghana often to undertake his other businesses but had to stop after a warning from the U.S Immigration office.

The artiste after 15 years of leaving Ghana, is back to music business with the release of a song titled ‘Shoe Size’.

After releasing the song in 2019, he went further to release a remix with Nigeria’s Zlatan.
