Gospel musician Celestine Donkor is apparently unhappy at missing the nomination for the Best Collaboration of the upcoming Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
Celestine says she is still shocked as to why her very popular song ‘Agbebolo’ which featured youngster Nhyiraba Gideon did not get nomination in that category.
Speaking to Mzgee on 3FM, Celestine Donkor was of the view that, since her song enjoyed great airplay both home and abroad, she finds it very baffling that she missed the above category.
Taking her disappointment on to social media, Celestine Donkor voiced out her opinion on her Instagram page when she wrote:
“Dear VGMA, I do appreciate 5 nominations for # Agbebolo. But I’m really surprised this song didn’t pass for Best Collabo. Is it because Nhyiraba Gideon is a child?” she asked.
The gospel singer is, however, nominated in 5 other categories of the music awards event, including Gospel Artiste of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Best Video of the Year, Gospel Song of the Year and the Vodafone Most Popular Song of the Year.
