The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Usman Nuhu Sharubutu has directed all Muslims in the country to stay at home and pray as part of measures aimed at curbing coronavirus.
Addressing the media at his residence, the Chief Imam said “This is a difficult moment for Ghana but in order to stay safe, it is advisable, all in the Muslim Community goes according to what President Akufo-Addo said yesterday.”
“Coronavirus does not know any political colour. It is better to allow Government to do its job in the fight against the virus. Let us not politicise the virus.”
He also tasked the health sector to ensure that most centres allocated for the treatment of Coronavirus cases are equipped with the necessary logistics.
