Kumasi pastor allegedly arrested for defying government’s directive on social gatherings

Police in the Ashanti Regional capital of Ghana, Kumasi have allegedly arrested a pastor for defying the president’s directive on public gatherings.

In a viral video on social media, the police officers were seen escorting the pastor into their vehicle and driving off.

The head pastor of the Open ARms Ministry in Kumasi, was on Wednesday morning, seen in the video organising a service of some kind for his congregants.

President Akufo-Addo on Sunday, 15th of March, directed a stop to a social gathering with people numbering more than 25, in a bid to control the spread of the novel Coronavirus.
