Ghanaian Jeffrey Schlupp scored his first goal of the season for Crystal Palace, who beat Burnley 2-0 in the English Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Ivory Coast winger Wilfried Zaha scored Palace’s opener right on half-time with a low drive.

Schlupp sealed victory nine minutes after coming on as a substitute as he capitalised on a defensive mistake to fire between Burnley goalkeeper Pope’s legs from inside the area.

His compatriot, Jordan Ayew, had a fairly decent game as he lasted 82 minutes.

Palace move up to 10th in the table, level on points with Burnley, who are eighth.
