Ghanaian filmmaker Peter Kofi Sedufia has said one of the major reasons why locally produced movies are unable to go international is lack of distributors.

In his view, Ghanaian moviemakers in recent times have produced standard films which have earned global recognition but the only setback is to sign a deal with a distribution companies or agencies to sell these movies on a larger scale across the world.

“I’ve said several times on many platforms that the major thing we lack in the Ghanaian film space is not good films, but, distributors,” Peter Sedufia lamented.

“I don’t think Ghana has any person or agency that can call itself a distributor. I’ve been waiting to be proved wrong, and still waiting,”

Sedufia urged people to invest more in locally produced contents and producers like himself who are willing to go the extra mile to serve people with quality content.

His work as a director and producer is credited to movies like Keteke, Sidechic Gang, Aloe Vera, Master, 3 Maids, Away Bus – a joint production with Kofas media.
