Ashgold President Dr Kwaku Frimpong appoints his son as CEO

Ashanti Gold President and majority shareholder Dr Kwaku Frimpong has named his son as part of the new management team of the former Ghana Premier League champions.

His son, 27-year-old Emmanuel Frimpong will head the five-member management team, serving in the capacity as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

“We want to make Ashanti Gold one of the biggest brand in African Football,” Frimpong said following his appointment.

Despite being a novice in football management, the young administrator is confident of succeeding in his new role with the support of club president.

“With the support of my management and Dr Kwaku Frimpong, we can make it. Being C.E.O of Ashanti Gold is not a matter of age,” he said.

“Ashanti Gold is always ready to compete in Africa,” he added.

Other members on the team are Roy Arthur, Seth Boakye Agyemang, Gibrine Musa and Daniel Bioh.

Of all five, Roy Arthur is the most experienced. He has held positions such as Central Region FA Chairman, CEO of BA United and is also a renowned player agent.
