Budding Ghanaian musician, Andrew Nii Commey popularly known as Mr. Drew says the decision to do music was triggered after a girl broke his heart.
According to him, that broken heart he suffered some years ago placed him on a professional musical path.
Also, he disclosed that his friends doubted his ability do music because he usually sang along to songs during their dance rehearsals.
Mr. Drew stated that after his girlfriend broke his heart, he started going to the gym and that was where the journey started.
“I had this girlfriend who was into beauty pageants and broke my heart. After my girlfriend left me, I started going to the gym to work out and that was when I chanced upon the (MTN) hit maker flier,” he told DJ Advicer on Happy FM.
Mr Drew added that he gave the competition a try to help him get over his girlfriend aside his quest to become a musician.
Eventually, the ‘Dw3’ hit maker became the first runner-up of MTN Hitmaker season 6.
Mr. Drew is out with a new song titled ‘Eat’ which features Stonebwoy.
