Wisa Greid, a name popular in the music industry for the very wrong reason, has finally had an opportunity to explain what exactly happened on stage some four years ago.
Wisa, a former Black Avenue Music signee, got carried away during a live stage performance at the 2015 edition of Citi FM’s December 2 Remember Show and showed what was believed to be his manhood on stage.
This act did not go down well with show organisers, patrons and generally the nation at large and Wisa received a lot of backlash for it. After his action, Wisa was sent off stage and had to face a legal battle with the state after being charged with indecent exposure.
Finally narrating what exactly happened, Wisa says it was not his manhood he showed but however, a fake dildo he purchased from the Accra Art Centre.
He said this was to attract the attention of Ghanaians to his performance. Wisa narrated that, he was invited to the police station afterwards and due to his lack of knowledge on police proceedings, the officers took advantage of him and extorted a lot of money from him.
Speaking in an interview he said, “My lawyer hadn’t come in at that time so they tricked me. They told me what to say and jeopardized the whole issue. They took all my money.”
He showered praises on his lawyer who defended him and ultimately helped him win the legal battle.
