Some celebrities have taken to social media to demand that NDC’s Communication Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, deletes a cartoon he posted that has attracted public backlash.
The cartoon posted on Sammy’s Twitter page likened the president’s ease of restrictions and the insistence of the EC to compile a new register to circumstances leading to the death of Black American, George Floyd.
Many social media users found his post an insult to the memory of George Floyd, especially when Americans are still up in arms demanding justice for his murder.
Sammy Gyamfi after the backlash tried explaining that he didn’t mean to disrepect the memory of the late George Floyd.
However, celebrities have ignored his explanation and demanded that he deletes the post.
Joey B, Juls, King of Accra, Kwadwo Sheldon asked that Sammy Gyamfi takes down the post.
