Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has said the SM Militants, whom he is said to have sacked from his label, are still under contract and that any record label that is interested in signing them must pay all that is due him.
The controversial musician lost his cool during a phone interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, Wednesday when one of the militants, Joint 77, visited the studios to promote his new song.
Shatta literally spat on the track, saying it was unmarketable. He claimed that the artiste, alongside his cohorts Natty Lee, Addi Self and Captan, has been lazy all these years and refuse to learn from him as the boss.
Arguably agitated during the interview, he revealed that he pimped women to Joint 77 to sleep with on several occasions and that he must pay him back for it.
“They are still under contract even though I’ve sacked them. I wanted to show them that I’ve a lot of sense than them. If you say I didn’t give you money to maintain your car, I gave you girls to sleep with and if paid them.
“If any record label want to work with them they will pay for every dime I spent on them. You take out the rent you paid when I had nothing at Dansoman and pay the rest,” he told Joint 77 on Hitz FM.
A furious Shatta Wale said he had wished the Militants would get to the standard where Kwame Eugene, Wendy Shay and other young artists have reached but had been unsuccessful.
