Former broadcaster Kojo Frempong failed to get the nod to lead the NPP as parliamentary candidate in the Wenchi constituency.
Incumbent, Professor Gyan Bafffuor won the election with 172 votes.
Presidential staffer, Kojo Frempong managed 148 votes at the end of the contest.
