I am here for business and money, not for awards – Shatta Wale

Self-acclaimed dancehall king, Shatta Wale, has made it clear time and again, that he truly understands the business aspect of his music and has every plan to milk the industry.

According to Shatta Wale, he is in the music industry, strictly for business and to make money, and not for awards or anything else.

Speaking in an interview, Shatta expressed his genuine interest in making a whole lot of money off his talent. The ‘Melissa’ hit-maker has also stated that there are a lot of factors preventing Ghanaian music from penetrating other boundaries.

He said, “In the industry we find ourselves in, we don’t get certain facilities to explore, so we don’t get the outside world to know how good we are.”

Shatta went on to admit the fact that, there was a lot more money to be made in the music industry. He advised his fellow musicians to carefully strategize and focus on the business aspects of their brands, in order to make good money for themselves as he has done.
