A 35-year-old man identified as Kofi Bandoli has been arrested by Police for allegedly beating his wife into a comatose state after he caught her with another man in their matrimonial bed.
Reports say, Kofi tried to call his wife from work several times for some vital information he needed, but could not reach her. He then decided to go home to check on her, since this was unusual.
Upon reaching home, Kofi heard sounds of moaning from his bedroom. In order to satisfy his curiosity, Kofi pushed the bedroom door open, only to find his wife in their matrimonial bed, sweating profusely while having sex with her lover.
Angered by what he had seen, Kofi pounced on his wife and beat her to a pulp, until she fell into a coma. Her lover, however, escaped before Kofi could get to him.
Some residents also angered by his assault on his wife, rushed on the suspect and beat him. Both of them are receiving treatment at Awutu Breku Hospital.
The police say Kofi will be arraigned before the court after he receives treatment.
