Manager and husband of Wiyaala, John Sherren, has called out showbiz critic Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo for a comment he made about his artist.
The showbiz critic had reacted to music producer, JMJ’s comment that the female music scene has been ‘dead’ since the inactiveness of Kaakie, MzVee and the death of Ebony Reigns.
The producer added that, “we can hardly see any female in that same light as them. Shouts to Wiyaala who is doing well out the, she could be an exception but the rest are still not there yet for me”
Asamoah-Baidoo in his submission on Ghanaweb’s ‘Bloggers Forum’ with Abrantepa disagreed with music producer JMJ.
However, he mentioned that JMJ’s comparison of Wiyaala’s progress with other Ghanaian female artistes is weak because she focuses on the international market.
Noella Wiyaala, was the first to comment and she warned bloggers and showbiz critics not to talk about her on their shows.
Now, her husband and manager, John Sherren, has called out the showbiz critic for his statement regarding his wife.
John Sherren shared a story Asamoah-Baidoo wrote about Wiyaala in 2018 praising her exploits.
“Hey guys! What’s wrong with Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo? He says on Ghanaweb TV that Wiyaala does not count in the Ghana music industry? And then he writes this! I’m confused lol!,”, he wrote on Facebook.
Responding to the manager’s post, Asamoah-Baidoo said, “What’s wrong with me? Lol. This article was written in 2018. I just posted it again to show that I cannot disrespect her brand. Never. And I clearly didnt discredit her on ghanaweb tv. You can respectfully watch it again.”
