Beyoncé wasn’t in Ghana for ‘Already’ music video shoot – Producer

The confusion over whether Beyoncé was in Ghana for her ‘Already’ music video shoot with Shatta Wale or not has been settled by one of the producers of the project.

Ghanaian creative, Sharifah Issaka, who was one of the producers who helped make the music video says Beyoncé was not in Ghana for the shoot.

She explained that a team was put together in Ghana to shoot scenes for the video and by extension, the ‘Black is King’ visual album.

On how Shatta Wale teamed up with the American, she said the Ghanaian flew abroad to shoot his scenes with Beyoncé.

Sharifah Issaka revealed that the American singer had wished to visit Ghana for the shoot.

“She really wanted to come but her schedule was mad,” Sharifah told George Quaye on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z.

The music video had scenes shot in various places in the Accra, Ghana, according to the Ghanaian producer.

Already’, a song released in 2019 by the American singer features Ghanaian artist Shatta Wale and international act Major Lazer.

It was released off Beyoncé’s ‘The Lion King: The Gift’ album.

The visuals for the album have been included in her movie titled ‘Black Is King’ available on Disney+ from July 31.
