Penciledcelebrities artist, Emmanuel Apraku, has expressed gratitude to everyone who donated to raise funds for his surgery.
Generous individuals managed to raise over $60,000 to help the artist who is popular known as Ray, undergo liver surgery.
On Wednesday, August 19, a GoFundMe account was created to receive donations to help save Ray’s life.
The artistic creator needed £40000 to undergo the surgery that could save his life.
On GoFundMe, a target of $55,000 was set to get the required amount needed to cover cost of operation.
In Ghana, well-wishers created a campaign #5Cedis4Ray, encouraging people to donate at least GHc 5 to help Emmanuel Apraku.
A mobile money account was designated to collect all donations from people in Ghana.
Fortunately, the target of $55k has been exceeded on GoFundMe with more people still donating regardless.
In an appreciation video posted on his Instagram page, the artist thanked everyone who supported him.
“I want to use this opportunity to say a big thank you to everyone that supported and donated…I am really appreciative of all your love and prayers…”,he said.
He also stressed that the GoFundMe account created by Kwadwo Bediako is not fake.
The artiste solicited for prayers as he prepares to undergo the liver surgery.
