Shatta Wale’s manager, Bullgod, has stated that his artist and the entire team are not bothered by the ongoing Exim Bank deal controversy.
The ‘Kakai’ hit maker was reportedly paid GH2 million to serve as brand ambassador for the state-owned bank.
Members of Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee (PAC) questioned the basis for which state-owned Exim Bank allegedly paid about GHS2 million to dancehall artist, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr. aka Shatta Wale and others as brand ambassadors.
Ras Mubarak, a member of the Committee said it makes no economic sense for the company to pay such an amount to an artist to promote made in Ghana goods.
Disclosing the artist’s thought on the matter, Bullgod said Shatta Wale is not bothered and also he deserves more than the GHS2 million been speculated.
‘We are doing our work. It doesn’t bother us’, he said in an interview with MzGee on 3FM.
Bullgod also revealed that Shatta Wale and his team are undertaking the tasks stipulated in their contract with Exim Bank.
