Gospel musician Mary Ghansah says she was chastised heavily for recording gospel songs with Reggae rhythms.
The veteran gospel musician said she was not spared by the public who were against her choice to infuse Reggae rhythms in her song.
She recounted facing severe backlash from the Christian community after releasing ‘Enka Ekyir’.
The singer also revealed that many negative comments were passed anytime she performed that song.
”When I did Reggae, Enka Ekyir, I was cruficied’, she recounted.
In an interview on the ‘Xpressive Show’, she said her critics stated that she was backsliding.
Mary Ghansah is happy that the style of music is now popular in Ghana.
