If you’ve been wondering why some investors shy away from investing in the music industry particularly in the careers of artistes, then you must pay attention to this latest revelation by Article Wan.
According to the ‘Solo’ hit maker, some musicians are fond of snatching the girlfriends of their managers and investors.
He observed that several investors have decided to avoid the music industry because artistes don’t treat them well after they’ve invested their monies.
“We’ve got investors but sometimes, artistes treat them some way so they don’t feel like investing again,” he said in an interview with TV3.
“Sometimes, people disrespect them, people are not faithful to them… There are instances the artistes snatch the girlfriends of these investors. That actually gets them crazy. How can you snatch the taste of your boss?”, he quizzed.
In spite of this, Article Wan wants investors to still invest in the music industry because their absence might cripple the industry.
“Investors shouldn’t look at what other artistes have done to them and say they will not invest in other good artistes. It’s killing the industry.”, he said.
Discussion regarding the ill behavior of artistes towards their managers and investors have dominated the media space with the recent example being the case between Stonebwoy and his former protégé, Kelvyn Boy.
Contrary to several perceptions that there are no investors, Article Wan believes that some businessmen and women are willing to help the sector but fear they will be treated badly.
