MTN has given her a 24-hour ultimatum to retract the claims or face potential legal action
This comes as the company rubbished claim by the actress that the company’s staff have a hand in the mysterious disappearance of her GH¢10,000 from her business mobile money account.
The filmmaker degraded the mobile network for allegedly stealing her money.
Salma Mumin noted it was no longer safe to keep money in your MoMo and alleged how the issue of people’s funds disappearing was becoming a norm.
She went ahead to accuse the workers of MTN of stealing her money and asked the authorities and management of MTN to take action.
Reacting to the claim, MTN-Ghana, stated that they will be compelled to take legal actions against her if she doesn’t come out to retract her claim.
The company labeled actress Salma Mumin’s claim as totally false.
“We wish to state categorically and for the records that the claim made in the post are false and misleading to the public and the poster’s Instagram followers. As @Salmamumin is very much aware, the said amount was not in her MoMo Merchant Wallet and no money has been taken from her MoMo Merchant Wallet as claimed,” excerpts of the statement read.
“The apology must state clearly that her claim that MTN Ghana had taken money from her wallet was false and given some prominence as that of her initial post failing which the business will be compelled to take legal action against her,” MTN demanded.
Salma has deleted the post on her Instagram page.
