Sarkodie and Kuami Eugene have had a cordial interaction amid the ongoing political endorsement saga.
Kuami Eugene had said that he was not comfortable with Sarkodie’s endorsement of President Akufo-Addo on their collaboration titled ”Happy Day”.
The song was released on November 2, and and it sent social media into a frenzy for hours.
On “Happy Day”, Sarkodie endorsed the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Akufo-Addo and asked that he be given a second term.
In an interview with MzGee on 3FM, Kuami Eugene lamented he had no idea it was for such an agenda.
He said Sarkodie only sent him one verse of the song which never contained the endorsement part just to aid him in composing the chorus and his verse.
Kuami Eugene went ahead to state that he only got to know that the song contained the endorsement of NPP when he was on set ready to shoot the music video.
The musician who seems not happy about the development believes Sarkodie’s endorsement in the song will affect his career.
Surprisingly, Kuami Eugene shared an excerpt of the music video on his Instagram page and Sarkodie happily commented.
”We made magic”, Sarkodie wrote.
”100% bossu”, Kuami Eugene replied.
