Ghanaian songstress, Francisca Gawugah better known as Sista Afia has said she does not want to be tagged a slay queen or even be called one.
In her opinion, Ghanaians attribute the name “Slay Queen” to a beautiful lady who sleeps with rich men for money gifts and research.
Sista Afia says though a lot of female artiste in the country have chosen to embrace the title and identify with it, she isn’t part of the gang despite doing a song about it in 2018.
“Please I only did a slay queen song but I’m not a slay queen myself,” the singer said when host Abeiku Santana asked her if she is still a slay queen.
She continued that: “Now everybody is making slay queen look like an ashawo(prostitution) thing so I don’t even want to have that name on me even though I have sung about it before. I don’t want to have anything to do with it.”
