Rapper Sarkodie joined singer Kuami Eugene on Friday November 6 at the Hero Concert to perform ‘Happy Day’ for the first time ever.
Patrons who thronged +233 Jazz Bar and Grill were surprised and excited to see Sarkodie because he was not billed to perform.
Sarkodie released ‘Happy Day’ to support Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the 2020 elections.
The song was released on November 2, and and it sent social media into a frenzy for hours.
On “Happy Day” which features Kuami Eugene, Sarkodie endorsed the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Akufo-Addo and asked that he be given a second term.
At the second edition of the concert, organized by SlipMark formerly Slip Entertainment in collaboration with Lynx Entertainment and +233 Jazz Bar, the two artists performed the song for the first time.
Hero Concert is designed to celebrate Highlife and Highlife musicians who have blazed the trail.
The event will see Kuami Eugene select a Highlife hero, each year, to celebrate for uplifting the genre.
This year, Kuami Eugene performed with the legendary George Jahraa.
