Gospel artist Cwesi Oteng says he will vote to retain President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the December 2020 polls.

The singer revealed that his decision was influenced by Akufo-Addo’s role as an icon of democracy.

In series of tweets, the gospel musician explained his choice of candidate for the polls.

“It is your civic duty to be involved in who leads the future of our country”, adding: “I’m voting @NAkufoAddo because he is a global icon of democracy”, he tweeted.

Cwesi Oteng also praised Akufo-Addo for his democratic credentials especially after losing two elections but still maintained peace.

“Twice, he lost elections and instead of misbehaving, he did not as many would. He mastered the courage to persist till he won by ballots”, he added.

The singer in an earlier interview said he wants Akufo-Addo retained so he can complete the construction of the Ghana’s national cathedral.
