Ghanaian rapper, Tic, revealed plans to sue Wizkid some few days ago, for allegedly sampling his song “Fefe Ne Fe” which was released in 2004,
Tic and Nigerian musicianTony Tetuilla (who was featured on the track) are following through with their threat and have dragged the starboy to court for copyright infringement.
According to the duo, Wizkid sampled the chorus of their song on his verse on DJ Tunez’s song titled ‘Gbese’ and has failed to pay for it since he was contacted in August this year.
They are hence, seeking damages to the tune of GHC 473,379.29 ($82,758.62) and also demanding 5% of both digital sales and royalties.
