Veteran Nigerian musician, Anthony Olanrewaju Awotoye better known as Tony Tetuila has taken to Instagram to confirm Tic’s declaration of a suit against Wizkid.
After Ghanaian artist, Tic, made the revelation of filing a suit against Nigerian star boy, Wizkid for copyright infringement, lots of people have asked if Tony is actually aware of the suit or just a beneficiary.
Tic and Tony are suing Wizkid and DJ Tunez for $82,758.62 at the Nigerian Federal High Court for copyright infringement of their song Fefe N’efe.
According to them, Wizkid sampled the chorus of their song on his ‘Gbese’ track with DJ Tunez and has refused to pay any royalties owed them.
To clear any doubts, Tony has confirmed his active participation in the suit with his post on Instagram.
