Mr. Mba Zechariah Alenbilla, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Nwabiagya North, has pledged the Assembly’s commitment to provide social infrastructure that will boost the local economy.

He said supporting businesses with the right infrastructure and enabling environment was the surest way to expand economic activities, create jobs, and generate revenue for the Assembly.

Speaking at the opening of a three-day stakeholders’ engagement in Akropong, Mr. Alenbilla noted that effective and efficient infrastructure remained the backbone of local economic growth.

The event, organised by the District Assembly, brought together traders, artisans, block factory operators, transport unions, private schools, landlords and landladies, and other business owners from Akropong, Asuofua, and Barekese area councils. It also featured free screening, treatment, and counselling for conditions such as ear and throat infections, hypertension, and diabetes.

Mr. Alenbilla stressed that strategic development projects were essential for thriving businesses, sustainable jobs, and improved livelihoods. He solicited ideas on levy payments and addressed concerns raised by participants, while calling for unity and cooperation to advance the area’s development.

Nana Karikari Akyeampong, Akyeamehene of Akropong, commended the DCE for the initiative and appealed for the timely fulfilment of his promises.
