Accra Central, the main business area in the Greater Accra Region on Monday was packed to it’s capacity as many citizens went shopping ahead of the Christmas festivities.
A video sighted by JiveGH.com showed Makola filled with market people as well as buyers who were eager to do their last bit of buying and selling before the Christmas holidays begin.
The video was shot from the top floor of one of the buildings in the area and it showed humans moving like ants in the market area.
One of the people in the building could be heard shouting that Accra is full as such anyone who is yet to set off should reconsider his or her decision.
This year has been earmarked as the “Year of Return” in Ghana and that has caused a surge in the number of visitors who have come to town for the Christmas celebrations.
