Twenty-three-year-old Ekua Mends Bannerman, was on Sunday evening crowned the winner for this year’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful competition organized by TV3.
The entrepreneur who represented the Central Region in the competition, beat Enam from the Volta Region among others to the topmost prize after 13 weeks of entertainment and education on Ghana’s diverse and beautiful culture.
Ekua is now the second person from the Central Region to walk home with the ultimate prize after Ama first won it in 2007.
The winner on the night, Ekua took home a brand new car, a cash prize of 10,000 cedis, a round trip to Dubai courtesy Camel Antiseptic’s ‘Buy and Fly’ and one year supply of GTP fabric among other souvenirs from sponsors.
Enam, representing the Volta Region, was a fan favourite and came second on the night.
she also took home a cash prize of 8,000 cedis, a round trip to Dubai and six-months supply of GTP fabric.
Serwaa representing the Ashanti Region came in third and took home a cash prize of 6,000 cedis, a trip to Dubai and three-month supply of GTP fabric.
Saah from the Western North Region and Ayisha from the Upper East Region took home 4000 cedis cash and 2000 cedis respectively as well as a month supply of GTP fabric.
Artistes that performed on the night include DopeNation, Adina and the legendary Ga band, Wulomei.
