Upcoming Ghanaian rapper Quamina MP has revealed that he wanted Sarkodie or Shatta Wale on his “Wiase Ye De” song before he featured Kwesi Arthur.

The rapper made this revelation in an interview with Deloris Frimpong Manso on her popular “Delay Show”.

Recounting how he rose to fame, Quamina MP stated that when he released the original version of the song, he was hopeful that someone like Sarkodie would feature on it because of his style of music.

He said:

“I made the original song with just Yung C and when I got to work with the Ground Up Chale team as a producer, they asked me to play some of the songs I had made.

That was when I played Wiase Ye De and two other songs. When they heard it, they asked us to do a remix but in my mind, if I was going to do a remix to that song I wanted it to be Sarkodie or Shatta Wale.”

Quamina MP however stated that he is glad the song came out the way it did because it had changed his life totally.

When asked how his life has changed since becoming a star, the “Party” hitmaker stated that his pockets have become heavier and he is able to eat better as compared to years back when he had to survive on GHC20 for the whole week.

“At first, I could spend about 20 cedis for a whole week. Back then, when I have Ghc20, I feel like I have a lot of money and I can eat and be comfortable” he said.

Quamina MP also mentioned how proud his parents are of him now even though they wanted him to get a job when he started working as a producer.

He claims that his father is now his biggest fan and is the talk of his hometown because his son is a star.
