Hajia Nasira Afrah, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sekyere Afram Plains, has reaffirmed her commitment to improving education in the constituency as she tours basic schools to encourage pupils and support teaching and learning.
The week-long tour took the legislator to several basic schools across the constituency, where she interacted with pupils, teachers, and school authorities.
The visit formed part of her ongoing efforts to promote quality education and motivate young learners to stay focused on their studies.
Addressing the pupils during her visits, Hajia Nasira reminded them that education remained one of the greatest tools for transformation, emphasising that every child, regardless of background, deserved an equal opportunity to learn, dream, and succeed.
“It was heartwarming to see the enthusiasm and determination in the faces of our young learners,” she said, expressing optimism about the potential of the children to achieve greatness with the right support and encouragement.
As part of the tour, the MP donated various learning materials to enhance teaching and learning across the schools.
She also presented prizes to the best-performing pupils to reward academic excellence and inspire healthy competition among their peers.
Hajia Nasira reaffirmed that education would continue to be one of her top priorities for the people of Sekyere Afram Plains.
She pledged to work with stakeholders to create an enabling environment where quality education was accessible to all children in the constituency.
“Together, we will continue to invest in the minds and dreams of our children, because they represent the true future of our beloved constituency,” she stated.
