The “Too Risky” hitmaker, Medikal has expressed frustration over the inability of Ghanaian music to hit the global stage, blaming this on a lack of collaboration and unity among local artistes.
In a post on his X page, Medikal claimed that the Ghanaian music landscape would have hit the global market if there was effective collaborative effort between artistes in the country.
“Ghanaian music would have flown across more and had increment in mileage but y’all bum ass artiste don’t like to collaborate with each other cuz y’all think it’s all about competition,” he wrote.
While a section of his followers agreed with his sentiments and shared his frustration, others vehemently disagreed with him.
Medikal is known to have always been an advocate for unity and collaboration among musicians. On August 26, 2025, he wrote on X: “Music [is not] competition”
