The Bono Regional Office of the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) recorded 110 cases between January and November 2025, Mr Paul Frimpong, the Bono Regional Coordinator of the ADR, has said.
He said the office was able to mediate and amicably settle about 60 percent of the reported cases, saying ADR remained an effective tool in the nation’s justice delivery system.
Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on the sidelines of the 2025 celebration of ADR Week in Sunyani, Mr Frimpong said with ADR litigation and disputes could be resolved quickly.
Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, the Chief Justice, launched the 2025 ADR Week, which runs between Monday November 24 and Friday November 28, 2025 on the theme: “Adoption of innovation and technology to enhance access to justice delivery through ADR”.
Mr Frimpong noted that: “Some disputes can persist for generations, however when such matters are referred to ADR, they can often be resolved within a matter of months”.
He gave the assurance that the ADR office in the region would continue to intensify public awareness creation and engaged with the various courts that offered ADR services to also sensitize their clients on the benefits of the ADR in dispute and conflict resolution.
