University honours Hajj Muhammad Amir Kpakpo Addo with ambassador role  

Global Interfaith University has appointed Hajj Muhammad Amir Kpakpo Addo as its Global Interfaith Ambassador in recognition of his commitment to promoting interfaith understanding, tolerance and peace. 

A letter confirming the appointment said the University was honoured to confer the role on Hajj Addo, citing his extensive experience in fostering dialogue among diverse religious and cultural communities and his consistent advocacy for peaceful coexistence. 

The University said his ability to inspire collaboration, build bridges across cultural and religious divides, and champion peace and social cohesion aligned with its mission to promote harmony among global spiritual and religious communities.

“Your unwavering commitment to promoting interfaith understanding, tolerance, and peace aligns with our mission to foster harmony among diverse spiritual and religious communities worldwide,” the letter stated, describing him as a vital asset to the institution. 

As Global Interfaith Ambassador, Hajj Addo is expected to serve as a diplomatic envoy of the University, representing its values, vision and initiatives within his community and beyond.  

His responsibilities include organising and participating in interfaith engagements, engaging religious and community leaders, and advocating for social justice issues affecting diverse populations. 

The University encouraged him to lead by example by demonstrating respect for all beliefs and fostering environments where dialogue, collaboration and mutual respect could thrive. 

It said the creation of the Global Interfaith Ambassador role formed part of a broader strategy to deepen dialogue, understanding and cooperation among faith communities worldwide.

According to the University, leadership remained central to advancing peace, tolerance and social cohesion, hence the decision to engage influential figures committed to unity and interfaith harmony. 

“Global Interfaith University is committed to promoting peace, tolerance, and mutual respect through education, advocacy, and collaborative efforts across religious and cultural boundaries,” it stated. 

It said that Hajj Addo’s leadership, compassion and experience would contribute significantly to its vision of building a more inclusive, tolerant and peaceful world. 

The University congratulated him on the appointment and expressed optimism about working with him to advance interfaith understanding and unity across all faiths.
