The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced an adjustment to fees for several key services, effective immediately.
The change was communicated via the Authority’s official Facebook page on Wednesday, January 22.
According to the NIA, the revised charges apply to first-time Ghana Card registration, personal information updates, card replacements, nationality updates, and non-citizen card registration.
In its statement, the Authority explained that the increase is necessary to maintain and improve service quality.
The additional revenue, it said, will support the “sustainability and efficiency” of its operations.
The NIA is urging all citizens and residents to take note of the new fee structure.
