PRESED donates relief items to Spartanburg orphanage 

The Presbyterian Relief Services and Development (PRESED), the development and humanitarian wing of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), has donated assorted items to the Spartanburg Orphanage at Donkorkrom in the Eastern Region. 

 The facility, wholly owned by the Presbyterian Church, is a home for the orphaned, vulnerable and less privileged in the Kwahu Afram Plains North District.  

The items donated included stationery, toiletries, food items and cash, aimed at supporting the welfare of children at the orphanage and easing their daily needs.

The donation was received by the District Minister, Rev. Thomas Odame, on behalf of the orphanage and the Donkorkrom District.  

The PRESED delegation was led by its Coordinator, Emmanuel Nyarko Ankamah, who emphasised the Church’s commitment to caring for vulnerable children and communities through practical acts of compassion.  

He expressed gratitude to Emmanuel Congregation Women Fellowship, Dansoman; Together for Ghana e.V, Germany; Feenam Industries; Frafraha District Women Fellowship; GASPA Foundation; the Owusu Darko Family and other Individuals who supported the initiative. 

Rev. Odame, expressed gratitude to PRESED and the Presbyterian Church of Ghana for the timely support, describing it as a significant contribution to the well-being of the children. 

The gesture forms part of PRESED’s ongoing efforts to promote social development and support vulnerable groups across the country.
