GCB Bank holds thanksgiving service

Management, staff, customers and other stakeholders of GCB Bank gathered at the Accra International Conference Centre for a National Thanksgiving Service on Saturday, January 31, 2026.

The event was graced by a sermon from Rev. Stephen Wengam, who serves as General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Ghana Immigration Service, calling on Ghanaians to recognize God’s mercy and favour in their accomplishments.

Drawing from 2 Samuel 9, he urged Christians to respond to divine blessings with humility, gratitude, diligence, and graciousness toward others.

Rev. Wengam further emphasized that prosperity is achieved through God’s favour, mercy, and hard work, not through corrupt practices.

The Managing Director, Mr. Farihan Alhassan, the Board of Directors, Management, and staff of GCB attended in their numbers.

In his address, Managing Director Mr. Farihan Alhassan thanked God and praised the staff for their loyalty, dedication, and hard work.

He expressed strong optimism for the bank’s future growth and continued success.

The service was uplifted by musical performances from the Tehilla Cedars of Cedar Mountain Chapel, East Legon, and renowned gospel artist Nacee.
