A couple from Wassa Attieku in the Western Region are making an urgent and heartfelt appeal to the public, philanthropists, NGOs, and benevolent organisations for immediate financial assistance.
The father of three, Mr. Emmanuel Quansah, says he is overwhelmed after his wife, Naomi Quansah, unexpectedly gave birth to quadruplets, a joyous occasion that has quickly turned into a financial crisis.
The couple had been preparing for triplets based on previous scan results, making the surprise arrival of a fourth baby an unforeseen burden.
Speaking from the Twifo Atti-Mokwa District Government Hospital, Mr. Quansah explained that he is unable to shoulder the mounting medical expenses.
The four newborns are currently receiving critical care in incubators, while their mother remains hospitalised recovering from a Caesarean section.
With daily charges accumulating, what should be a time of celebration has become a struggle for survival.
Sharing their plight, Mrs. Naomi Quansah revealed the emotional and financial toll on their family.
“We already have three children to care for. We were prepared for three, but the fourth has overwhelmed us,” she said.
The couple is now calling on the government, NGOs, and kind-hearted individuals to come to their aid.
They plead for support to help settle their hospital bills and ensure that their newborn babies and their mother can return home safely.
