Television and radio personality, Joyce Akumaa Dongotey-Padi, popularly known as Akumaa Mama Zimbi, has taken a stance on people who believe her show to be vulgar.

Speaking in an interview, the host of the Odo Ahomaso show lamented saying, “A spade must be called a spade; the hypocrisy is too much.”

“If I describe the genitals in English, there won’t be a problem but when I call it in the local language, then there is trouble,” she concluded.

In her opinion, the truth is bitter and painful but needs to be said, regardless.

The host of the midnight show has stated her unwillingness to change nature of her show, despite the continuous in flood of criticisms by a faction of the public.

Going on to further elaborate her point, the host cum actress stated, the aim of her show was to offer comprehensive sexual education to married couples to help them develop and sustain a healthy relationship and not to promote profanity.

According to her, the act of sex is just a tip of the iceberg of her show, but due to the fact that most people refuse to listen to the show, they quickly jump to the conclusion of its profanity.

“They lack education on the essence of the show. I educate women on how to walk, talk, cook, lay bed and not just preach about intimacy”, referring to her critics.
