KNUST bans five dismissed students from campus

KNUST imposes permanent campus ban on five dismissed students

Management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has issued a permanent ban against five formerly enrolled students, prohibiting them from entering the university campus.

The directive targets individuals the school accuses of persistently undermining institutional safety and order following their dismissal.

The University Relations Office released a statement on Friday, March 13, signed by Deputy Registrar Daniel Norris Bekoe, naming the affected individuals as Bernard Boadi, Francis Tutu Atuahene, John Kelvin Kane, Roland Botwe Nsiah, and Felix Acquah.

According to the statement, the five students were officially dismissed from the university in 2025.

However, management alleges that they have continued to loiter on campus, engaging in activities that disrupt the peace and orderly functioning of the institution.

As a result, the university has imposed a strict and permanent ban, barring them from entering or remaining on any university premises.

Management described the action as a necessary measure to protect the safety of students, staff, and the wider university community, and to ensure the smooth conduct of both academic and administrative activities.

The university has issued a firm warning that any breach of this directive will be met with immediate legal action.

KNUST reaffirmed its dedication to upholding its regulations and maintaining a peaceful, secure, and conducive environment for teaching, learning, research, and community engagement.
